AC Power Sources

AC Power Sources from GW Instek, B&K Precision, and others. Authorized Stocking Distributor.

AC Power Sources are useful for testing designs over a wide range of input voltages and frequency such as 50 Hz and 60 Hz. Military testing at 400 Hz is another use for AC Power Sources. Magnetic devices such as inductors and transformers can also be tested over a range of voltage and high frequencies using AC Power Sources. Electronic AC Power Sources provide regulated output voltages that are unattainable using a variable autotransformer (variac). Some AC Sources also provide arbitrary waveforms for simulating sag, surge, and transient conditions.
